The Southern Hemisphere is the bottom half of the Earth. It contains the continents of South America, Australia, Antarctica, and the southern half of Africa. Many animals from the southern hemisphere are not found in the northern hemisphere; for example, penguins are native to Antarctica, and Kangaroos are native to Australia.
