Comet Lemmon is a non-periodic comet in our solar system. When it reached perihelion, it reached peak brightness of about 12. It is a near-hyperbolic comet, meaning it is still bound to the sun and will return to the Solar System, but will take thousands of years. It's formal designation is C/2018 R3 (Lemmon). It was discovered by the Mount Lemmon Observatory in 2018.
